Opening. On a maker's planning sheet, a line becomes an opening onto an unfinished paper world. On-screen text: “Start with a possibility.” Pencil and paper sounds accompany a spare instrumental motif.
Paper windows. Three moving portrait apertures hold a plan, a missing bridge tile and a folded landscape. The center window expands into the scene.
Introduction. A dusk landscape settles into a wide image. On-screen text: “Introducing Alder 1.0.”
The step. A single amber tile lifts, crosses the gap and lands in the bridge. On-screen text: “One clear step.” The music rests just before contact.
Handoff. The completed paper world folds into a warm editorial page. On-screen text: “The making stays yours.” Then: “The next thing you make is yours.” The instrumental chord fades. There is no spoken dialogue.
A better beginning can change what feels possible.
Roblox Studio can hold almost anything a creator imagines. That freedom is part of its magic. It can also make a first task hard to name. Alder starts with the creator's own goal, then helps turn it into a smaller plan you can inspect.
We want more people to enter game creation and more experienced developers to stay in control of difficult work. Lowering the barrier by even a little matters if it helps someone make, test and understand their next change.
Assistance is valuable when it leaves the creator better able to continue.
The real place stays central.
Alder is being designed as a Windows workspace around a Roblox Studio session. The product aims to confirm the correct place, expose a bounded view of project context, let the creator edit a plan, route approved work through Studio, and record a test observation.
Those are product goals and current preview behaviors, with important limits. The full first-run-to-feature loop has not been independently validated across creators. We will describe the shipped experience by what it has actually proven.
The film introduces where Alder is going. It is not a claim that version 1.0 is downloadable today. Alder is currently in a waitlist phase. It will offer a useful free tier and paid tiers; pricing and allowances are not public.
